Today, I was distracted and busy at work and my caloric intake ended up being quite low, unintentionally. I drank gatorade and had a fun size snickers bar to bump up my calories at the end of the day.
I did happen to sneak a run in at work which felt fantastic to get that off my list. It is always a struggle to find time to exercise on the days that I work, so every.single.time I exercise on a work day it is victorious!
I ran at elevation today for my 3 mile run, but I wanted to keep it at a super "easy" run, so I tried to keep my heart rate below 140bpm. I had to bump down from 6.0 to 4.1 at level 3 elevation to keep my heart rate in that zone. Here are my stats from my Fitbit Surge.
I forgot to turn the timer off at the end, so that is why my 3 mile run looks like it took 42 minutes. I also started it before I started running (I walk for 5 minutes to warm up) so that is why there is the ramp up and down.
I so far have stuck to my half marathon training plan week 1, to the tee this week. I have 3 miles to run tomorrow and 5-6 miles to run on Sunday to make week 1 completely successful. As of today, I have no aches or pains so I'm totally happy and thankful for my body without injury. Each day without injury is a blessing.
