calories: not sure today - went to Gino's for dinner (but didn't have alcohol, a world's first!)
Week 2 of heart rate training is going well. Tonight I did my first zone 3 workout. I was supposed to do 15 minutes of zone 3, but with my mild tenderness through my posterior tibialis (which thank goodness feels so much better) I bumped it down to 10 minutes (and almost died). I ran 3.36 miles, including my 5 minutes of walking at 3.1 increasing .1 every 30 seconds, and then a running warm up at 5.0 mph for 5 minutes, before starting at 7.0. My heart rate was only rising to about 149, and so I ended up bumping my pace to 7.3 which I stayed at for the first 10 minutes much longer than I thought I would. That ended up being about 8.14 minute mile pace.
At the end of my second 10 I was running about 6.7mph, which was a 9.04 pace, so overall, I was happy with the pace.

This heart rate training thing is fun. Now I just have to stay injury free.
I've made up a whole running plan, which is completely different from what I posted here but I'm going to modify that right now, as it is too aggressive for my body.
And fun... this arrived in the mail today. Love my care packages from my mum!
